Walk #1: 1.5 miles

Tonight I inadvertently started my first walk without really meaning to.  I needed to clear my head and even though my right foot was hurting and a bit inflamed, I found myself walking and walking and not stopping.  What was originally a walk to the nearby bus stop ended up being a 1.5 mile walk down the hill from UH Manoa.

I will probably feel it tomorrow (or the next day) and my original goal was to wait until Iʻm healed up before I start my walking project.  But, such is the way of life.  You never know when inspiration will hit, right?

What walking project?

So, youʻre probably wondering what this walking project is that Iʻm talking about.  Well, itʻs a bit of a story and Iʻm sleepy right now so I will wait until next time to share the details on that.

Long story short: it is a progressive program to increase my walking stamina and general fitness.  I did it once before when I lived in China and got myself up to a 30 mile walk, which I was pretty happy about.

Anyway, thatʻs it for this time.  The first walk of many.  Iʻm going to aim to do my next walk within the next week, joints allowing.
